Your quality donations do the world good.

We are pleased to accept quality, clean items in good repair.
Please drop off items at Thrift & Gift during our donation hours.

Donations left after hours become damaged by weather and people.
You can save our volunteers time if you have your donations pre-sorted into like items
(eg. shoes in one bag/box, clothing in another etc.).

At Thrift & Gift we’re happy to take the following:

  • Clothing, shoes, boots, jewellery, purses
  • Furniture, lamps, area carpets, desks, mirrors, pictures and picture frames
  • Houseware items such as dishes, glassware, pots & pans, kitchen utensils, home décor, knick-knacks and more
  • Linen items such as bedding, toweling, drapery, shower curtains, decorative pillows
  • Small appliances in good working order (microwaves, coffee makers, toasters, blenders, space heaters, humidifiers, etc.)

* Please note: we cannot accept items that are ripped, stained or contain pet hair

  • Books, stationery, school supplies
  • Toys, games, puzzles
  • DVDs, VHS tapes, CDs
  • Musical instruments such as guitars, wind and string instruments and percussion
  • Craft supplies, fabric, notions, yarn, sewing supplies
  • Sporting goods such as skates, hockey equipment, skis, skateboards, cleats, balls, bats, bicycles, exercise equipment, etc.
  • Tools, hardware, lawn & garden equipment
  • Antiques, collectibles, clocks

Seasonal items and decorations (Christmas, Halloween, etc.)

Please note: We appreciate your seasonal donations, however if you could please hold on to your patio furniture until April it would be helpful. We have limited storage space.

Items we do not accept

Due to health regulations and disposal fees we are unable to accept the following items:

  • Baby equipment (cribs, high chairs, car seats, booster seats designed for a car, bath rings, baby gates, baby walkers, teethers, pacifiers, etc.)
  • Large appliances (refrigerator, stove, freezer, air conditioner, washer, dryers, dishwashers, etc.)
  • Hazardous materials including but not limited to smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, used fluorescent light bulbs and chemicals of any kind such as cleaners, household paints and other liquids.
  • Food, vitamin supplements, and prescription drugs
  • Entertainment units
  • Helmets (of any kind)
  • Blinds of any kind
  • Building materials
  • Automotive parts
  • Toiletries
  • Pianos or organs
